Hendrik Oudman LLM MA (1953)
General Manager
Studied law and history. He was employed as a lawyer at a brewery and an insurance company at the start of his professional career.
He taught maritime law at the Rotterdam Business School for years. Before becoming an independent counsellor, he worked at the Ministry of Transport and Water Management for ten years.
He was very closely involved with the preparation of plans and the realisation of enlarging motorways. He has also been very closely involved with preparing the big tenders for the purchase of the entire department’s electricity (nationwide). This is why he has a great knowledge of the offshore energy market (wind-water turbines, LNG).
He is experienced in political and official processes and knows how to react to these.
Hendrik Oudman fulfils some executive functions in the local liberal party. He is a member of the EBN (European Movement Netherlands) and of the NGIZ (The Netherlands Society for International Affairs).
Hendrik Oudman has a large international network. He is married and has three sons.
Hobbies: tennis, long distance skating, travelling by bike (Harley), reading.

Is a naval architect who has been employed in the maritime industry for over 40 years, at, to name but a few, Nedlloyd, Van Nievelt Goudriaan & Co., Grundstad Shipping Corp., Klevenberg Shipping Center;
and restarted the dormant Van Nievelt Goudriaan & Co. in 2001, making it a holding company and starting point for several shipping-related activities like ship owning, ship repair, port promotion, technological developments, etc. He was an advisor to the Dutch Ministry of Economical Affairs on 10 international missions (Eastern Europe, Indonesia, Cuba).
He was and is very active in local and regional politics and public water bodies and held a couple of supervising posts in companies and interest groups like the National Ports Council and the Netherlands Ship Owners Association. He is married with having 3 children.
Hobbies: football, hockey, chess, long distance skating, reading and travelling.

Folkert W. de Vries (1967)

As a former employee of ING and Aegon, he has a profound financial and insurance background.
He has been the Manager Agencies at Wilcamar & Co. , a subsidiary of Van Nievelt Goudriaan & Co. Scheepvaartmaatschappij BV, since 2007.
Wilcamar & Co. operates as a shiprepair agency for worldwide renowned shipyards which have specialised in shiprepair and new buildings.
It therefore comes as no surprise that Folkert de Vries has many contacts all over the world.
He is married and has two daughters (twins).
He takes a great interest in the shipping sector, worldwide political and economic developments and sports: (cycling, football and chess.)

Kent Cao Xiaodong (1973)
Manager Asia
Studied Hospitality Management at the College of Tourism Management, part of the Beijing Second Foreign Language University.
Kent travelled a great deal throughout China, South East Asia and the United Kingdom. He has enjoyed numerous commercial positions . He is now Sales Manager for an international freight forwarding agency and purchasing agent for a Canadian- based chemical company.
His excellent command of the English language therefore comes as no surprise.
Kent is also a sub-agent for Wilcamar & Co, a Van Nievelt Goudriaan & Co Scheepvaartmaatschappij BV ship repair agency. He is married. Hobbies: horse riding, reading, writing, photography, dog breeding (Dalmatians).

Ton Croné (1954)
Manager Caribbean & Central America
Ton Croné had been employed as a deputy Director of the Cabinet of the Governor at Aruba for many years. Consequently he has established many contacts in the Caribbean and, besides speaking both English and German, has mastered Papiamento fluently.
Furthermore Ton is an experienced administrator. During the last few years he had been an alderman of Flushing, one of the important port towns in Holland.
Ton is familiar with shipping.
He led a delegation in order to establish a shipping line between Suriname and the Dutch Antilles. Furthermore he investigated the possibilities of digital cruise tourism.
He is also an entrepreneur, giving HRM courses and trainings. That is why he also speaks the language of the business world as no other.
As this entrepreneur/politician takes a strong interest in society, it comes as no surprise that he has been asked as a member of several committees.
Ton is married and has two children.
His hobbies are: ships, trains and planes and, of course: the Caribbean.
